Types of Printing
- 1 and 2-color screen printing
Screen printing is a printing process that uses a mesh to transfer ink to the surface of the cup through a photolith or template. The ink is pushed through the mesh using a squeegee, which allows the design to be applied to the surface of the cup. This process is ideal for simple designs with few colors.
- 1-Color Screen Printing: Allows for printing a single color precisely and directly onto the cup. It is ideal for logos or simple designs.
- 2-Color Screen Printing: Allows the application of two different colors, facilitating a more complex design, but always within the limitations of ink application.
Aspects to consider in screen printing:
- The printing area is limited and does not cover the entire cup. The design can only be applied to accessible areas, which means that some cups may have a more contained design or be focused on a specific section.
- Screen printing is best suited for medium to high production runs where the design is relatively simple.
- The process is suitable for more rigid materials and flat surfaces, but the curvature of the cup must be taken into account to ensure correct alignment of the design.
Production Time: 2 weeks.
- IML (In-Mold Labeling)
IML is an advanced printing technique that uses custom plastic labels inserted into the cup mold during the injection molding process. During cup manufacturing, a label with the design is placed inside the mold before the plastic is poured in, allowing the design to be permanently integrated into the surface of the cup. This technique is ideal for achieving full-color printing with high resolution and complete coverage.
- IML One: Allows for full-color printing on a portion of the cup, ideal for vibrant and detailed designs.
- IML Full Color: Allows for complete coverage of the cup, creating a design that covers the entire object, including transparencies, gradients, and complex visual effects.

- The printing completely covers the cup, which allows for a design without space limitations and greater flexibility to create complex graphics, large logos, and vibrant colors.
- The design is permanently integrated into the cup, ensuring that it does not fade or wear out with use.
